The WorkWell programme, aimed at supporting individuals with health-related barriers to employment, has helped 193 people in Herefordshire and Worcestershire back into work since its launch in summer 2025. Judy Gibbs, joint programme director for Herefordshire and Worcestershire, said: "We have 15 work and health coaches across Herefordshire and Worcestershire to help individuals stay in work, return to work, and manage their health effectively. WorkWell is funded by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and delivered locally by NHS Herefordshire and Worcestershire. Support through the programme includes access to mental health services, physiotherapy, financial advice, and guidance on reasonable adjustments for employers. Referrals to the programme can be made directly by individuals, or through GPs, Jobcentre Plus, or employers.
