Sinn Féin leader Mary Lou McDonald’s husband, Martin Lanigan, has settled a defamation case against former Fine Gael TD Shane Ross. Mr Lanigan sued the former Minister for Transport Mr Ross over comments he made about Mr Lanigan in his 2022 biography on Ms McDonald, which he said implied that he was a member of the IRA and had been in receipt of illicit funds.
