Norwich Road and Bramford Road - deemed as 'arteries' into the town have been hit with roadworks leading to traffic chaos in the town. This Saturday, Ipswich Town host Preston North End at Portman Road with the community fearing gridlock due to poor road closure management. "The Norwich Road gas roadworks, the temporary lights aren’t synced with the pedestrian lights near the surgery, surely they should either put a temporary crossing or ensure that the traffic lights work alongside the pedestrian crossing lights?" Norwich Road has had temporary traffic lights installed, meaning only one direction of traffic can move at a time. Meanwhile, Bramford Road has roadworks taking place from January 28 to February 3 with four-way traffic lights put in place.
