After the lunch break, the trial judge, Samantha Leigh adjourned the trial until Monday when McMillan is expected to continue being cross-examined by prosecution counsel Simon Spence KC. He claimed that when he went to Mr McNicholl’s flat on Christmas Day 2024 he was already dead. He said he had disposed of the phones because they contained messages relating to him selling drugs to Mr McNicholl. CCTV footage and doorbell video footage showed McMillan had allegedly spent two hours at Mr McNicholl’s flat on Christmas Day. The court has heard that Mr McNicholl was found face down with a footprint on his T-shirt and the skin underneath which was made from a Nike Air Force One trainer.
