The Eastwood Academy has been named as one of the country’s new Attendance and Behaviour Hubs. This is a programme designed to help schools facing the most serious challenges around absence and poor behaviour. Attendance and Behaviour Hubs are schools with a proven track record of turning around attendance and behaviour, which will now support other schools to improve standards. David Piercy, principal at The Eastwood Academy, said: “We are delighted that The Eastwood Academy has been appointed as an Attendance and Behaviour Hub as part of the Department for Education’s RISE programme. “This appointment is a clear recognition of the outstanding track record of both The Eastwood Academy and Tenacitas Trust in promoting a culture of high expectations and enabling pupils to thrive.
