Shane Hagger drove at twice the speed limit, went the wrong way up a dual carriageway, jumped a red light and drove up a footpath as he led police on a chase through Basildon. He was already disqualified from driving, having been convicted of dangerous driving on two previous occasions. He pleaded guilty at Basildon Crown Court to dangerous driving, driving whilst disqualified and having no insurance.
