Founded by Ronald Longman, 86, who bought a car and flipped it for profit when he was just 16, Longmans Motors, on Long Riding in Basildon, has grown into a trusted and successful business. Now his grandson Harry Longman, 23, has said it will carry on “for years to come”. Harry said: “He still turns up to work everyday and attends all the car auctions, he’s been doing his entire working life since he was 16. “Every day lives and breathes the business, he’s always been very much an outgoing people person and loves chatting with the customers.
