Stonehenge School on Holders Road in Amesbury has been forced to close this morning, Thursday, January 29. The school said its urgent closure was due to a faulty fire alarm. However, the school made the decision to close as operating without a fully reliable fire alarm system would not have met safety requirements. Specialist engineers are currently working with the school to identify and resolve the fault and to ensure the system is fully operational. Carole Dean, Headteacher, said: "The safety of our pupils and staff is always our highest priority.
