The notice states that Haus of Cabaret in St George’s Road, Brighton, has been repossessed by the landlord Tokyo Industries on January 22. Owner Alex Proud said he is “hopeful the issue is settled soon” and he does not believe the venue will close permanently. Tokyo Industries said the venue is currently closed and it is looking for alternative interest in leasing or purchasing the property. On the eviction notice, Alex Proud said: “We are very hopeful this issue is settled or will be soon. “This moved 'Proud Galleries Brighton Ltd' to a lease position which has also now defaulted on its rent.
