Pittsburgh Steelers assistant general manager Andy Weidl will not be the next general manager of the Atlanta Falcons. Weidl, who has been the team’s assistant general manager since after the 2022 NFL Draft, has been lauded for his approach to teambuilding across the NFL. Weidl joined the Steelers after Omar Khan was hired as general manager and works heavily on scouting. Now, he looks to be a hot general manager candidate around the NFL while continuing to help scout the NFL Draft and build the Steelers’ draft board. Pittsburgh hired Weidl in 2022 after it elevated Khan to general manager following the retirement of Kevin Colbert.
