The selection panel for the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) has officially announced vacancies for the positions of Chairperson and seven members of the commission. For the positions of NCIC members, applicants must also be Kenyan citizens with a recognized university degree and a minimum of two years’ experience in similar fields, while meeting Chapter Six requirements. Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen appointed six members to the NCIC selection panel in November 2025, ahead of the recruitment process. The panel members are Reuben Chirchir, Francis Meja, Pauline Mcharo, Alfred Mshimba, Michael Nzomo Mbithuka, and Hannah Okwengu. NCIC, established under the National Cohesion and Integration Act of 2008, was formed in response to the 2007/2008 post-election violence.
