River levels in York remain high with flood warnings and more rain forecast

In York, levels on the River Ouse passing from Lendal Bridge to Millennium Bridge are expected to caused flooding today to riverside properties.
City of York Council are set to review whether Rowntree Park will open this morning, according to the local charity organisation there.
Flood alerts - meaning flooding is possible - remained in place overnight for the Lower and Upper River Derwent, and the Upper River Ouse, according to the Environment Agency (EA).
The EA warning notice at 7.58am for the River Ouse in York city centre said flooding is expected for riverside properties and riverside areas from Lendal Bridge to Millenium Bridge.
All areas are being assessed by the Environment Agency throughout the day.
