NTT Docomo forged an agreement to give enterprises and developers access to its advanced network APIs in international markets through Aduna’s global platform, seeking to prevent account takeovers, identity theft and mobile fraud. In a joint statement, the pair explained the partnership agreement expands global network API availability through the GSMA Open Gateway initiative and aims to aid fraud prevention strategies through interfaces including number verification and SIM swap detection. The collaboration also opens up additional ways for Docomo to reach new customer segments through global distribution, it stated. The company was formed in 2024 by a group mobile operators and Ericsson to coordinate their network API efforts. Docomo and SoftBank Corp joined Aduna’s API ecosystem in June 2025.
