Swimming Australia president Chris Fydler has been suspended for eight months by the sport’s global integrity unit, after an investigation found he abused his position in a dispute over a former Olympic teammate’s bid to be vice president of World Aquatics. However, the Aquatics Integrity Unit (AQIU) confirmed Fydler had been found guilty of “improper conduct” in requesting a re-vote on Swimming Australia’s support of Dunn’s nomination to the World Aquatics board.
