The Tasmanian Whisky & Spirits Association (TWSA) has celebrated a strong result for Tasmanian producers at the World Whiskies Awards, with distilleries dominating the Australian categories.
In the Taste competition, Tasmanian distilleries secured 14 Category Awards, including eight Country & Category Winners, alongside 15 gold medals, 27 silver medals and 38 bronze medals.
Tasmania also received multiple Icons of Whisky awards recognising industry professionals and achievements.
“Tasmania has been at the forefront of global whisky excellence since Sullivans Cove first won World’s Best Single Malt Whisky in 2014,” Lark said.
