A COMMUNITY facility in Alrewas has been refurbished thanks to £45,000 of funding.
The Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) was awarded the money from Lichfield District Council’s Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) pot.
It was awarded to Alrewas Parish Council to improve the 15-year-old facility off Kings Bromley Road by resurfacing the court and replacing fencing as well as basketball hoops.
Councillor Alex Farrell, Lichfield District Council’s cabinet member for housing and the Local Plan, said:“The Community Infrastructure Levy provides vital funding for capital projects that make a real difference to residents’ lives.
“The funding will enable this valuable provision to continue for many years to come and councillors are appreciative of the support given by the CIL team throughout the process.”
