DAMOSA Land Inc., together with PHINMA Hospitality, held a groundbreaking ceremony for “TRYP Wyndham Samal” on Jan 29, 2026, at Costa Azalea, Island Garden City of Samal, to open a global hotel icon designed with world-class architecture. TRYP by Wyndham Samal will be the first four-star international hospitality brand on the island that is structured as a condotel development and aligned with the growing trend in the Philippines. During the launch, Island Garden City of Samal mayor Lemuel “Toto” Reyes said the project sends a clear message that Samal is open for business, forging partnerships, and ready for sustainable growth. “Together, we are building not just a resort but a future for Samal to shine on global tourism,” he said. The estimated travel time is 25 minutes from the airport via the Samal Island–Davao City Connector (SIDC) bridge, and 15 minutes from Davao via private boat.
