In a statewide effort against food fraud in Rajasthan, the Food Safety Department took significant action as part of the “Pure Food – War on Adulteration” initiative. Laboratory tests revealed that samples of Bhog Vinayak brand ghee collected from Pratapgarh district were unsafe. Instead, it was running from a different undisclosed location, which is a clear violation of the Food Safety and Standards Act. This included 9,065 liters of Bhog Vinayak brand ghee in various package sizes, 17,741 liters of Haryana Cream brand ghee, and 16,617 liters of Naksh Dairy brand ghee. Further action taken under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006, based on the results of laboratory tests.
