City-School Liaison Committee talks EPD collaboration, transportation safety at tri-annual meeting

Evanston Police Department officer Nick Jones, the meeting’s first scheduled speaker, discussed traffic and pedestrian safety around the city’s public schools.
Coordination between the EPD, ETHS student resource officers and District 65, Spells said, was critical in attempting to locate the offender.
Led by District 65 parents, the Legion of Data Nerds has sifted through publicly available data to propose cost-cutting measures to District 65.
“Shared ticket revenue could be to the benefit of District 65 and District 202 schools — District 65 should really use it right now,” said Quiñones.
