Riverland Wine has announced the appointment of Brigid Nolan as the new chair of Riverland Wine, and the re-election of Amanda Dimas as chair of the Riverland Winegrape Growers Association (RWGA). Riverland Wine also acknowledged retiring chair Jim Markeas, thanking him for his hard work, leadership, and deep commitment to the organisation and to the broader Riverland wine community. “His significant contribution through a period of intense industry challenge is warmly recognised, and we are pleased to confirm that Jim will continue to serve as a director on the Riverland Wine Board,” said Riverland Wine. Appreciation was also extended to Peter Hill, who has retired from his seat on Riverland Wine Board, but will continue as a board member on RWGA. Following the election process, Courtney Hume will now join the Riverland Wine Board as the fourth RWGA representative, joining Philip Smith and Harry Magiarapis.
