Indonesia Exports 95,400 Oil Palm Seeds to Peru After Passing Quarantine Clearance

PALMOILMAGAZINE, PALEMBANG — The South Sumatra Animal, Fish, and Plant Quarantine Agency (BKHIT Sumsel) has facilitated the export of 95,400 oil palm seeds from South Sumatra to Peru, following the successful completion of comprehensive quarantine inspections and certification in line with the importing country’s requirements.
“To facilitate this export, our officers at the SMB II International Airport Service Unit conducted thorough inspections and certification of the oil palm seeds,” Sri Endah said, as quoted by Palmoilmagazine.com from Antara on Friday (30/1/2026).
The inspection process included document verification, physical examination, and plant health testing in accordance with plant quarantine standards.
Based on the results, all oil palm seeds were declared healthy and eligible for export.
“Our officers conducted meticulous inspections to ensure that every exported oil palm seed meets the plant health requirements of the destination country, thereby maintaining international market confidence,” she said.
