The organisation, in a statement issued on Thursday said the DSS must investigate the killing of the two residents by Abayomi on January 19, 2026. Describing Abayomi’s action as horrific, AI accused the DSS personnel of showcasing recklessness, unlawful use of firearms and abuse of power. AI said, “The DSS must investigate this horrifying incident and ensure that the suspect is brought to justice through a fair trial. “While security personnel are supposed to protect people, gradually some of them are unleashing terror on society — creating a toxic climate of fear and corruption.
