The brother of the Secretary to the State Government of Zamfara has left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections. The defection involves Alhaji Bello Nakwada, a close relative of the Secretary to the Zamfara State Government, Bello Nakwada. The development was announced in Gusau by the APC Publicity Secretary in Zamfara State, Malam Yusuf Idris. He encouraged them to take part in the ongoing electronic registration exercise and strengthen the APC’s grassroots structure across Zamfara State. The latest defections are expected to further weaken the PDP in Zamfara, as several influential figures continue to abandon the party ahead of the 2027 elections.
