A Warren County resident died as a result of the recent winter storm, according to state and local officials, as Mississippi continues recovery efforts from severe winter weather. Warren County Coroner Doug Huskey confirmed the cause of death was hypothermia. Tate Reeves announced Wednesday that six additional storm-related deaths were reported statewide, bringing the statewide death toll to 10. Preliminary damage assessments submitted to the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency indicate six homes in Warren County were damaged as a result of the storm. Damage figures are subject to change as assessments continue.
