GRAFTON, Wis. — Charges have been filed against four men after a burglary in Beaver Dam and a standoff in Grafton led investigators to stolen cash and jewelry, and a “hit list” of Wisconsin addresses. Ozaukee County sheriff’s deputies spotted the suspect vehicle at a short-term vacation rental on Lake Shore Road in Grafton, and surrounded the home in the early morning hours on Wednesday. A standoff began when the suspects refused multiple commands from law enforcement to exit the home. Investigators found $570,000 in cash and jewelry, and a damaged and opened safe in the rental home. The Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office determined at least three of the addresses on the list were previously burglarized, dating as far back as 2023.
