King Frederik of Denmark to visit Greenland

King Frederik will arrive in Greenland on February 18 and stay until February 20.
The three day trip will start in the capital, Nuuk, and is expected to take King Frederik across Greenland.
In his New Year address King Frederik spoke frequently of his backing for the island and its people – there are 57,000 inhabitants of Greenland.
On his accession as king, Frederik also increased the prominence given to the symbol of Greenland on his standard.
The visit by King Frederik will be seen as another firm stance on Greenlannd.
