The A9 was closed overnight following a road traffic incident near Evanton. The incident happened on the A9 Inverness to Thurso Road shortly before 9pm on Thursday. The A9 was closed in both directions for more than six hours as crews worked to clear the route. Firefighters called to A9 EvantonThe Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was made aware of the incident at 8.39pm. Drivers travelling along the A9 in the early hours were diverted away from the area.
