A resident of a street close to a secondary school is calling for its pupils to help keep the area tidy. Burdshaugh is the route most pupils take from school to McColls and the Fish Bar at Fleurs, or further on to Tesco at Nairn Road. He said: “Most of the litter arises from pupils visiting the shop at lunchtime. A Moray Council spokesperson told the Gazette that Forres Academy regularly educates pupils about respecting the community and disposing of litter responsibly. He said: “Placing a couple of gull-proof bins by the pavement on Burdshaugh with friendly messages could remind pupils of any communication made on the issue.
