The suspects were reportedly apprehended at Mechede, a Bororo/Fulani settlement near Oro-Ago, under the Oro-Ago District in Ifelodun Local Government Area of the state. Some of the fleeing suspects were reportedly heading towards Ekiti State, which shares a boundary with Kwara. Sixteen suspected bandits were recently arrested by security operatives in Ekiti while attempting to cross into the state.
