A Cumbola man was taken into custody and charged following a disturbance at a Port Clinton hotel bar earlier this month, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
State police from Troop L, Schuylkill Haven, were dispatched to the Port Clinton Hotel, located at 231 Centre Street, Port Clinton Borough, at approximately 7:07 p.m. on January 17, 2026, for a report of an individual threatening to kill another patron inside the bar.
According to an affidavit of probable cause, troopers made contact with Thomas John Ferhat, 37, of Cumbola, inside the establishment.
Bar staff also told police that Ferhat had allegedly threatened to shoot another person prior to police arrival.
According to the affidavit, Ferhat pulled his hands behind his back and tensed up, making it difficult for troopers to apply handcuffs.
