Investing.com -- AI search startup Perplexity has signed a $750 million agreement with Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) to utilize its Azure cloud infrastructure.
According to Bloomberg, citing people familiar with the matter, the three-year commitment allows Perplexity to deploy frontier models via Microsoft’s Foundry service.
The shift comes as Perplexity remains locked in a federal legal battle with its primary cloud provider, Amazon.com Inc (NASDAQ:AMZN).
“AWS remains Perplexity’s preferred cloud infrastructure provider, and we’re excited to announce expansions of that partnership in the coming weeks,” a spokesperson told Bloomberg.
