More than a decade later, Hostetler, 30 and a registered nurse living in Portland, tackled another iconic U.S.mountain on Sunday: Oregon’s Mount Hood. Friends and family this week said Hostetler was a good person, a talented musician and photographer and a dedicated nurse who cared deeply for his patients. Hostetler was born in California, and the family moved to Georgia when he was four, his parents said. Everyone who knew him recognized that he was “a genuinely good person,” she added.
