The Department of Home Affairs has confirmed it will relocate its Centurion offices to Centurion Mall, citing growing concerns about public safety and unsuitable working conditions at the current site.
ADVERTISEMENTBy relocating to Centurion Mall, the department expects to benefit from controlled access, improved security systems, and safer parking.
The department also raised concerns about the illegal selling of queue positions by some individuals outside the current offices.
Mobile units will be stationed at the current Centurion site to assist clients.
Clients requiring other services, such as passport applications or civil registrations, have been advised to wait until the Centurion Mall office opens or to visit alternative Home Affairs branches.
