Thomas Lena scored two goals and added two assists to lead Manalapan to a 5-2 victory over Cranford at Howell Ice World in Farmingdale. John Honovic matched Lena’s four-point performance with a goal and three assists for Manalapan (6-10), which built a 4-1 lead through two periods and held on for the win. Lena scored twice in the first period, both assisted by Honovic, to give Manalapan a 2-1 lead heading into the first intermission. Both goaltenders finished with 20 saves, with Anthony Vovk earning the win for Manalapan and Griffin Geis taking the loss for Cranford. Manalapan’s defense was equally strong, limiting Cranford to just two goals on 22 shots.
