Sophomore Peyton Johnson matched his career-high, scoring 23 points to lead Dayton to a 56-47 victory over Gov. Livingston in a Union County Conference-Valley Division matchup Thursday night in Berkeley Heights. After trailing 13-10 at the end of the first quarter, Dayton (6-8, 3-5 UCC-Valley) took control in the second quarter, outscoring Gov. Livingston’s 22-point fourth quarter comeback attempt, Dayton maintained its composure down the stretch to secure the win. Jalen Waldron and Nick Perez each contributed seven points for Dayton, while Chris Ramirez and Ryan Drennan added six apiece.
