Maddy Everett’s 15 points led a balanced offensive effort for 13th-seeded Northern Highlands as it outlasted 20th-seeded Paramus Catholic, 63-61, in overtime, in the preliminary round of the Bergen County Tournament in Allendale. Four different players finished in double-figures for Northern Highlands (9-7). Bridget Main and Angie Perez had 13 points apiece, and Catherine Main added 10. Northern Highlands will play fourth-seeded will play at fourth-seeded Old Tappan in the first round on Saturday at 11 a.m. In defeat, Olivia Buckingham made nine 3-pointers to finish with 31 points for Paramus Catholic (6-10), which used an 18-6 fourth quarter rally to force overtime.
