While it’s more known for its TVs and tablets (outside smartphones, of course), Samsung also puts a lot of development towards its business-grade signage solutions, as seen with the launch of the new 13-inch Color E-Paper screen.
Also dubbed the “EM13DX,” Samsung says that its latest display uses a bio-resin casing derived from phytoplankton.
Our Color E-Paper products are designed to replace paper with ultra-low power performance and ultra-slim, lightweight designs.
Measuring 17.9mm thick and weighing just 0.9kg, the 13-inch display features a 1,600 x 1,200 resolution and a 4:3 aspect ratio, and Samsung says that it’s used an advanced colour imaging algorithm that’s capable of producing visuals resembling high-quality printed posters.
For content management, users can update the displays directly from mobile devices using the Samsung E-Paper App, while larger corporate setups can use Samsung’s cloud-based VXT platform for remote device management and content deployment.
