Ofsted has concluded there was no evidence of political bias at Bristol Brunel Academy, despite the school cancelling a planned visit by a Jewish Labour MP after threats of protests from staff and activists.
Damien Egan, the vice-chairman of Labour Friends of Israel, had been due to visit the school in his constituency.
Michaela Wilde, the NEU branch secretary for Cabot Learning Federation - which runs the school - coordinated efforts to block the visit.
Jewish Labour MP Damien Egan had a planned visit to Bristol Brunel Academy cancelled in September | GETTYLead inspector Helen Matthews wrote that “inspectors found no evidence to substantiate these concerns within the school”.
Bristol Brunel Academy said the findings showed it was a “school with fundamental British values at its heart and a deep commitment to inclusivity”.
