We’re told that the new Circtec tyre chemical recycling plant in Farmsum, the Netherlands, is the largest of its kind in Europe, possibly even the world. King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands officially opened this superlative facility on 27 January at a ceremony in which he commenced operations by feeding waste tyres into a CIFR pyrolysis reactor, a proprietary Circtec chemical recycling technology that converts tyre waste into high value new products.
