Speaking at the event on January 29, the Minister said India no longer wants to be only a user of aviation services.
Instead, the country aims to become a major global hub for aircraft design, manufacturing, financing and maintenance.
He explained that India wants to build airplanes and related equipment within the country, rather than depending heavily on imports.
As more people can afford to fly, the need for better and bigger aviation services will continue to grow.
The government hopes that these efforts will help India become a major player in the global aviation market and reduce dependence on foreign countries.
