Developers want to create the apartments in 4-6 Silver Street, using the first, second and third floors to build four one-bedroom flats. In papers put forward to Bury Council, the developers said: "The site is located in a sustainable location, with public transportation readily accessible nearby. The site is a five-minute walk from Bury Interchange, from where there are numerous bus and tram lines running to many destinations. "Millgate Shopping Centre is in extremely close proximity to the site, with numerous supermarkets and home stores. The site is also a nine-minute walk from The Rock Shopping Centre, which contains many amenities and leisure opportunities and is reachable on foot.
