"What is especially important to acknowledge is that despite the intense and challenging pressures colleagues are working in – especially in our urgent and emergency care services – they continue to provide compassionate and respectful care. Inspectors checked hospital's community midwifery care, post-birth care, the antenatal clinic, and early pregnancy care, amongst others. This enhanced transparency has led to improved patient care. The hospital’s emergency service was previously found to be in breach of legal regulations regarding safe care and treatment. The emergency service showed several "shortfalls," primarily concerning the management of patient flow to the broader hospital.
