The Punjab Land Records Authority (PLRA) has made it mandatory to include the buyer’s name and CNIC number on the Fard Baraye Bay, a key legal document used in property transactions, to enhance transparency and prevent fraud across the province. In a statement issued on Friday, the PLRA said the new requirement will ensure that every Fard Baraye Bay issued for sale purposes clearly identifies the intended buyer, reducing the risk of duplication, forgery, and misuse. According to the PLRA, the reform will allow online verification of the document through the Punjab Land Records Portal, making land transactions more reliable and citizen-friendly.
