Lahore Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Bilal Siddique Kamyana announced on Wednesday that motorcyclists will be fined from February 1 if caught riding without safety rods. The announcement was made at a Town Hall ceremony launching the installation of safety rods and a public awareness campaign under the “Safe Basant” initiative. Kamyana also reiterated a zero-tolerance policy for aerial firing and said strict legal action would be taken against violators. Kite flying will only be permitted on February 6, 7, and 8, with strict action against violations on other days.
