Aria Marie Gilford died after a severe asthma attack on August 9, 2023, and an inquest into her death at Bolton Coroner’s Court has now concluded. The management of Aria’s asthma was found to be “suboptimal”, which “was accepted by mum”. 'Missed opportunities'Ms Kirby had rated the control of Aria’s asthma a seven out of ten, but the coroner called this “somewhat an overestimation”. He concluded Aria had died of natural causes, but added that this was “not a finding that there was no fault”. Mr Pemberton offered his “deepest condolences” to the family, and said he “hopes the inquest has provided some closure”.
