O2 has announced the launch of its next-generation 5G Standalone network in key Dorset towns, including Bournemouth, Poole, Dorchester, Swanage and Christchurch. The upgrade promises faster, more reliable coverage and improved connectivity for users with compatible devices. The 5G Standalone technology is built entirely on new infrastructure, unlike earlier versions that depended on existing 4G networks. The improved mobile network will help people stay connected as they travel across the county, from major towns to rural areas and coastal destinations. The Dorset rollout is part of O2’s wider national programme to extend 5G Standalone services to urban centres, towns and communities across the UK.
