Simon Hoare, North Dorset MP, has written to the CEO of Hampshire County Council, highlighting complains of disruptive roadworks on the A338 Salisbury Road.
Works are expected to be in place for six months and will have traffic lights until July later this year.
“I urge Hampshire County Council, SSEN and National Highways to work together and find a better solution,” he wrote.
With the works due to be completed by Scottish and Southern Power Distribution, Salisbury Road will see temporary traffic light instalments from Monday, January 5 until Friday, July 24.
A spokesperson for Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) Distribution said the essential works were in place to upgrade the electricity network in the Ringwood area.
