Dealer who peddled heroin and crack cocaine is jailed
['Tony Earnshaw']
Bradford Telegraph and Argus | News
A mobile phone attributed to Dad contained texts including bulk advertising messages for heroin and cocaine using the “Baz” line, messages between Dad and users wanting to buy drugs, and messages from Dad instructing someone to deliver drugs.
The court heard that he had previous convictions including for possession with intent to supply Class A drugs for which he was sentenced to 18 months in prison in 2020.
In mitigation, the court heard that Dad was of extremely low intelligence, was easily led and exploited, and that deficits in his judgement meant that he was vulnerable to the attentions of others.
Jailing him for three years and four months, His Honour Judge Brian Forster KC said: “Any supply of drugs, particularly Class A drugs, is a serious matter.
“You are in a dangerous position … so do not get further involves in the supply of Class A drugs.”He ordered the forfeiture and destruction of the drugs seized.
