Cardiff Central Quay is set to open on January 30, with 681 parking spaces, 28 electric vehicle charging points, bike racks, a drop-off area, and plans for a 24-hour car rental service. Located near Cardiff Central station, the car park is part of a wider regeneration project led by Network Rail and its property development company Platform4, in partnership with Transport for Wales. "Together, we’ve used our shared expertise to deliver a facility that enhances the customer experience for Cardiff Central station users, residents and visitors to the area." The car park will be staffed 24 hours a day and will be 'fully illuminated' during early mornings and evenings. Sian Evans, asset management director at Platform4, said: "The opening of the Cardiff Central Quay car park represents a new way of working for the stakeholders involved.
