Research from UK technology company Sentai has found that 37 per cent of carers experience constant worry when they are not with the person they care for. Paul Statham, CEO of Sentai, said: "Behind every older person living at home, there is often a son, daughter or partner carrying invisible anxiety, and it is far more pervasive than most people realise. Almost half of families (48 per cent) said the older person resists help, mainly due to fears of losing independence (58 per cent) or becoming a burden (47 per cent). This emotional struggle leaves families managing not just practical tasks but the constant fear of falls, illness, or prolonged loneliness for their loved ones. Many wait until a crisis, such as a fall or emergency, before taking action.
